Sebastian Fundora vs Keith Thurman rescheduled for March 28,2026 @ the MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas, NV., Credit: PBC Promotions & Prime Video
PBC Promotions and Prime Video have announced that the fight for the WBC Super Welterweight World Championship between Sebastian Fundora (23-1-1, 15 KO’s) and Keith Thurman (31-1-0, 23 KO’s) has been rescheduled for March 28, 2026. Fundora suffered a hand contusion during sparring last year which effectively postponed the bout originally scheduled to take place on October 25, 2025.
The fight will take place in the boxing capital of the world—Las Vegas, Nevada—at the historic MGM Grand Arena.
Not only will these two have to adjust to each other’s height and reach differences but Thurman, the older of the two, will also have to go up against the youthful stamina of Fundora as he tries to put an end to the 154-pound reign he [Fundora] has been on since becoming champion.
Thurman’s last fight was on March 12,2025 vs Brock Jarvis, which he won by a third-round TKO. It would be his return after a lengthy layoff following his unanimous decision win against Mario Barrios on February 5, 2022. The now 37-year-old knock out artist and former unified champion has his veteran IQ and prowess to help him in this potential banger versus the current champion. Thurman has fought under some big lights and is no stranger to partaking in all out brawls that end up going the distance.
On the other corner, the current 28-year-old southpaw WBC Super Welterweight Champion, Sebastian Fundora looks to continue his success in the already stacked 154-pound division. As Vergil Ortiz Jr., Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis, and Xander Zayas—fresh off unifying the WBO and WBA titles—continue to rise in the division, this fight offers Fundora a chance to secure another win over an aging Keith Thurman.
We will stay updated on this fight card as more details begin to emerge over the next few weeks but the hope is that the undercard for this spring time battle in the desert will also deliver from beginning to end. 2026 is gearing up to be a rewarding one for boxing fans.

NEW YORK — Luka Dončić vs the New York Knicks, 2/1/26, Credit: NBA on NBC
BROOKLYN, NY — Another Grammy road trip concludes on Tuesday night for the Lakers as they visit Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY to face the Nets. Luka Dončić, who is leading the league in scoring with 33.6 points per game will lead the charge along with LeBron James (21.9 ppg).
DeAndre Ayton, will also look to continue his success in the paint on Tuesday as he leads the team with 8.5 rebounds per game.
The Los Angeles Lakers are currently 29-19 and in sixth place in the West while the Brooklyn Nets hold on to the thirteenth spot in the East at 13-35. This will be their first meeting of the 2025-2026 season after splitting their regular season matchups last season 1-1. The Nets are coming off of a big loss to the Pistons on Sunday, 130-77 while the Lakers are looking to right the ship after their 112-100 loss to the Knicks on Sunday as well.

Austin Reaves is still listed as out on Tuesday with a left calf strain he sustained on Christmas day versus the Rockets. It’s likely that we will not see Austin until the Lakers are back home. They play the Sixers, Warriors, Thunder, Spurs and Mavericks before the All Star Break. Although it’s quite possible that we see Reaves back on the court during one of these home games, not rushing would be the most beneficial move for him and the Lakers as they aim to make a late season run into the playoffs and out of the play-in tournament.
The Lakers’ second unit can have some interesting bursts throughout games but if they are going to compete with the West’s top teams, the supporting cast is going to really have to limit turnovers and make some stops to preserve leads while Luka, LeBron and company get their rest.
Rui Hachimura has to knock down those open looks that he has been getting from three point land while demanding some respect from the defense in the paint or forcing them into fouls. Jaxson Hayes has been having some really fun minutes when he checks in. It seems like lately, we are bound to walk away with a dunk highlight or two from him after every game.
Jarred Vanderbilt is also an interesting one to keep an eye on. His defensive presence along with Marcus Smart’s are two weapons the Lakers desperately need to consistently show up. Both of them also are prone to getting some pretty good open looks at the corners. It makes them a dangerous team from three point land on paper. Gabe Vincent and Jake LaRavia also get those open looks throughout ballgames. Especially when Luka is getting double teamed by defenders.
If everyone can lock in at the same time, this team can really catch some lightning in a bottle once Austin [Reaves] returns and go on a deep run into the postseason. With the trade deadline days away, the Lakers may even be a move or two away from making that happen and changing their trajectory in the standings during the second half of the season.
Lakers @ Nets Tip Off: Tuesday, February 3, 2026 @ 4:30 PM PST/ 7:30 PM EST, Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY
LOS ANGELES – It’s about that time of year again! You can almost feel spring around the corner. Saturday was a warm and sunny day in Los Angeles. Another perfect day for Dodger fans to make their way to Chavez Ravine in support of the Blue Crew. As the Dodgers begin their journey towards their third World Series titles in a row, a feat that has not been accomplished since the 1998-2000 New York Yankees,
There were two special broadcasts that we were following along with today since we were not able to make out to Dodger Stadium. SportsNet LA and AM570LA both had very interesting interviews and perspectives from every player. Most notably, Manager Dave Roberts dropped big news today regarding the World Baseball Classic and later confirmed by Shohei Ohtani that he would not be pitching in the WBC. Rōki Sasaki would also confirm that he would not be pitching in the World Baseball Classic following a team decision.
Blake Snell confirmed to Dodgers and AM570 reporter David Vassegh that even though his shoulder did bother him after the season, it was nothing to worry about and that his goal was to still be ready by Opening Day. He also filled everyone in on his streaming plans for Spring Training. Not to worry if you follow Snellzilla’s streams, he will still be going strong with them but made it clear that when it is time to lock in, he’ll be locked in. Snell also spent the offseason coaching and mentoring his 12U youth baseball team based in his hometown of Seattle, Washington. The rotation will heavily depend on Blake and his leadership this season if they wish to get to their third straight championship.
One of the many heroes from last season Will Klein was very excited to get the season underway as he looks to take on a bigger role in the bullpen this season. This season, the bullpen looks to make a significant leap forward with the addition of closer Edwin Diaz and the return of big arms like Brusdar Graterol, River Ryan and Gavin Stone who are all coming back post surgeries. A few other arms to keep an eye on this season are Ben Casparius, Justin Wrobleski and Jack Dreyer as well. They made a real impact and solidified themselves are true relievers last season when called upon. We can also look forward to seeing fan favorites, Anthony Banda and Alex Vesia this season as they return to take on much bigger veteran roles in the bullpen.
Dalton Rushing was another name that we saw last season as he filled in for catcher Will Smith during a period of time he spent out recovering from injury. Rushing enters his second season in the big leagues and emphasized that he wants to stay ready for any moment this year. He admitted that last year, there were a few instances that caught him off guard and that now he is looking to take on any opportunity that is thrown at him. He is willing to get out there and play any position that he needs to play for the team but understands that the bulk of his time on the field will be spent at the plate and first base.
Dodger fans also got an update from Tommy Edman on the progress of his ankle which required surgery during the offseason. The issue stemmed from ligament damage and bone spurs. Although he mentioned that his goal is to be ready by opening day, Edman was adamant that he was not going to push things and just take it day by day. He will get his work in during Spring Training and go from there. Tommy is expected to take on most of the duties at second base when he returns but as one of the many multi-position players on the rosters, don’t be surprised if we see him playing second one night and then third or center the next night.
Freddie Freeman is someone that we can count on. He has proven to be the ultimate team guy and someone who takes care of himself all year round. He explained today that his goal is to play all 162 games as it is every season. Freddie even joked that Dave Roberts better not think about giving him any days off because he would not be taking them.
A DodgerFest would not be complete without some time with Mookie Betts. He was in great spirits as always and revealed that he had been putting work all off season doing meet and greets and signing for his new tequila brand, Tequila Providencia. Mookie has solidified himself as the Dodgers everyday shortstop and during his interview with Doug McKain from Dodgers Nation, he made it clear that he intends to remain the Dodgers’ shortstop for the rest of his career. Mookie looks to kick off his seventh season with the Dodgers healthy and ready to take on this challenge and help his team reach the three-peat promised land.
Finally, Shohei Ohtani, closed the show by making his rounds and answering questions. He spent the offseason working out and preparing to pick up where he left off last season. He confirmed that he will be a member of team Japan for the 2026 World Baseball Classic but he will not be pitching for the team this March. Dave Roberts did confirm that is was Shohei’s decision to not pitch in the WBC and that the Dodgers would have allowed him to do so had he decided to take the mound for his country. Yoshinobu Yamamoto was not available at DodgerFest today but it is confirmed that he will also join Ohtani and Team Japan in the World Baseball Classic this upcoming March.
All in all, it was another successful DodgerFest. The crowd came out as always and the players looked excited and ready to get this season started. Pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training on Friday February 13th with the rest of the team joining on Tuesday, February 17th.
The Dodgers will play their first Spring Training game on February 21,2026 at 12:10pm vs the Angels at Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.
Before the Knicks host the Lakers at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, Teofimo Lopez Jr. and Shakur Stevenson will have the honors of being the main event on Saturday night. Lopez currently holds the WBO super lightweight title and will defend it for the third time, this time against Stevenson.
Teofimo López Jr. vs Shakur Stevenson live on DAZN 1/31/26
Lopez is 22-1, 13 KOs and looking to make the statement as the one Shakur Stevenson, 24-0, 11 KOs, will have to go through if he wants to become the future of boxing. An exciting battle is brewing up in New York City between two young stars of the sport. These two have a history of being in gyms and sparring together, so they know they can expect the other to come out Saturday night with everything they’ve got. As boxing fans, we can only sit back now and enjoy the show.
The fight card is hopefully going to deliver with some big names gracing the lineup. One of the more interesting fights of the night is Bruce Carrington vs Carlos Castro. They will be battling it out for the vacant WBC featherweight title. Bruce is undefeated and Carlos is coming off of a split decision loss to Stephen Fulton last year in September.
Keyshawn Davis makes his return to the ring after being stripped of his title last year for missing weight in his cancelled bout against Edwin De Los Santos. Jamaine Ortiz only has 2 losses and those were against the legendary Vasyl Lomachenko and one of tonight’s headliners, Teofimo Lopez. Even though they wont be fight for a title tonight, watch out for a complete banger of a fight when these two meet in the co-main event of the evening.
